Ultrasonic inspection of steel pipes using RotoUTscan

CONTROLE MESURE SYSTEMES offers turnkey Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing systems for the inspection of a wide range of applications.

An Ultrasonic test bench specifically for the inspection of stainless steel tubes has been delivered and installed at one of our customers sites. It features our RotoUTscan rotating Ultrasonic head.

RotoUTscan not only detects internal and external, longitudinal and transverse defects, but also performs high-precision dimensional inspection (ID, OD, thickness measurement…).

This inspection bench is installed on a production line for stainless steel tubes, Ø 12 to 65 mm with thicknesses from 0.4 to 3 mm.

The inspection data is then collected by our Probus supervisor, who will produce complete inspection reports to ensure full traceability of the inspection.
